Workflow recipes

A workflow runs several profiles in order, each reading the reply of the one before. These recipes use the profile recipes. For how workflows work, see Workflows.

Each step has two switches:

  • Use the workspace context: Memory, Worldbuild and retrieved lore. The step’s own knowledge base is always included.
  • Read the chat history.

Turn them on only where the step needs them: every step that reads the context costs its own retrieval and its own room.

Write the next scene, then fix anything that contradicts the canon.

Step Profile Instructions for this step Context History
1 Narrator or a drafting profile Write the next scene from the latest message. On On
2 Continuity checker Check the text above against the canon and fix only what contradicts it. Return the full scene. On Off

The chat shows the corrected scene. Use a cheaper model for step 1 and a stronger one for step 2, or the other way around.

Turn a loose idea into a chapter outline.

Step Profile Instructions for this step Context History
1 Brainstorm partner Offer three different directions for this idea. On On
2 Lore keeper Pick the direction that fits the canon best and turn it into a chapter outline: scenes, who is in each, what changes. On Off

Translate a passage and have a second pass catch what the first missed.

Step Profile Instructions for this step Context History
1 Translator none Off Off
2 Line editor Proofread this translation for grammar and flow. Keep every name and term as it is. Off Off

For game masters: turn raw notes into a list of changes ready for Worldbuild.

Step Profile Instructions for this step Context History
1 Game Master Helper Rewrite these session notes as a clean summary, in order. Off Off
2 Game Master Helper From the summary above, list what changed for each character, place, faction and item, and every new name. On Off

Then press Update entities in Worldbuild to turn the list into suggestions for review. See A world for your table.

  • The last step answers in the chat. Put the step that writes what you want to read last.
  • Big intermediate replies. A middle step that writes more than about 4,000 tokens pauses so you can send it on as it is or trim it first.
  • A step fails? Retry it, skip it (its input passes on unchanged), or interrupt and keep what the earlier steps wrote.
  • Share it. A workflow exports as one .klw with all its profiles. See Share profiles and workflows.
